He originally wanted to get a loan from the mafia to pay off his other debts. He ended up joining because a mafia member could probably earn the amount of money he needed and he probably wouldn't be able to pay back the loan he originally wanted to make anyway.

Gold chain necklaces! Designer shades! Brand name suits! Money peeking from his pockets! It's like he's practically begging to be mugged. Ettore you see, tries his hardest to show off whatever expensive luxuries he has. Almost to the point it's just sad to look at (he sometimes even purposely leaves price tags on his clothes to show how much he spent on them).

Ettore's pride is really, too big for his own good. He doesn't mind asking help for things he can do himself but when it's something he knows he needs help with he tries all sorts of stupid things to get it done himself, usually resulting in him getting himself into trouble.

Shopaholic
Be it men's clothing or women's jewelry as long as it's high quality or well-known Ettore will buy it even when he doesn't have any money to buy it with, he will find a way if it kills him.

Doesn't handle problems too well
Most of the time Ettore thinks pretty clearly but when he's in a problem he thinks knows he can't handle he becomes hasty and desperate.

Ettore was born in Turin, Italy. His mamma took care of him and his two siblings while his papà worked at a bank as an accountant. His family was very lively! Every day was a blast! But Ettore's favorite time with his family was when they all huddled together on their living room couch and watched soap operas together. They even had popcorn ready! He also really liked watching the shopping channel with his mom once everyone else fell asleep after the soap operas were over.

Like most parents, Ettore's mamma and Papà were worried about his first day at school. Much to their relief Ettore fit in with his schoolmates quite well! He was also doing quite well in school, aside from occasionally being called to the principal's office for a few pranks he may or may not have done with his ability. He totally didn't deserve getting lectured on for turning Mr. Dauglik's pants invisible, to be honest it was more torture for Ettore than it ever was for the teacher.

Middle school was a very awkward phase for Ettore. High school was filled with a lot of... experimenting. And college was really great, he met a lot of friends who would lend him their computers, show him the latest tech, and even lend him clothes he liked sometimes! He also learned a bit of English. As soon as Ettore graduated his uncle helped him get into a company he used to work at.

A nice family, a great childhood, good education, and eventually landing a job with a pretty darn good salary. Ettore had a great life, didn't he? Until he messed everything up, that is. Ettore had always been rather...ambitious? As a child and well, as good as his salary was it just wasn't enough. There was no way Ettore could afford all the stuff he would buy and wanted to buy. Heck, if you included the crazy amount of money he spends to shower his family and friends with gifts all the time he'd have to be a millionaire or something! Which of course, he wasn't. Actually, Ettore was just constantly maxing out his credit card, dangerously so. Almost every week his bank would call him asking if someone had stolen his credit card and how he wanted to address the situation. Yep, that's how bad Ettore was. But really, what was the problem with maxing out your credit card to buy cool stuff so long as you paid the money back? Nothing!

Or at least that's what Ettore thought. As his credit bills piled more and more it took him longer and longer to pay them all. Eventually his credit score dropped to a pitiful 400 which increased the interest rate of his loans dragging him deeper and deeper into his debts. Everything was still alright though! He thought if worked a little more overtime, held back from the shopping a little he'd pay all his debts in no time! Whoops, actually even that wasn't possible anymore.  As if falling into debt wasn't enough, Ettore also got fired from his job once the company saw how low his credit was during an employee credit score check. Who knew you could get fired for something like that? Certainly not Ettore, haha! If he did he probably wouldn't have been oh so stupid! Or would he? No, certainly he wouldn't have gotten himself fired if he had only known. It was the company's fault for not warning their workers about things like that. Yeah, all their fault...Ettore's credit card was also eventually revoked from him.

Haha, alright. In debt and unemployed! Might even be on his way to homeless since, how could an unemployed man ever afford to live in such a pretty condo Ettore lived in? Haha...Alright! Ettore decided to think of his options. What options did he have left? He could always call his family for help, yeah. If he called them they would definitely take him in and help him pay his debts. No- whether it was Ettore's pride or fear of how his parents would react to how stupid their son had to be to fantastically ruin his life with a mere piece of plastic, it immediately expelled the thought of asking his family for help. Everything that had happened was his fault and he was already a grown man. He needed to solve this problem on his own.

By falling even deeper into debt! It was hard for Ettore to get a new job, since employers actually look at your credit and can decline you just for that. He also couldn't ask his uncle to help him get another job since, he never told his family he got fired. Ettore got desperate enough to well, get a loan from "shady" people and plan on using that to pay off his current debt and just somehow find a different way to pay off the new debt? Yeah, get into another debt to pay another debt. It made a lot of sense when Ettore first thought of it. However- instead of using the money to pay off his old debts one of Ettore's friends had convinced him to go gamble it at a casino for even more cash, he had apparently just won a few thousand euros and many people often won there. Like the idiot he was, Ettore gambled all the money he had gotten from the "shady people" and well...ACTUALLY WON!!! His money had tripled! He had enough money to pay off his debts and start clean!! Until he decided to gamble a little more and almost completely lost all his money.

You'd think a man who's went through all of that would finally learn his lesson. But no, the only thing he learned was how to get even deeper into debt! Paying off debts by getting into way bigger ones, amazing! Eventually Ettore had borrowed enough money from "shady" people even paying with his organs would do. It was a good thing Ettore was great at hiding and running away. Otherwise well...yeah...Eventually Ettore had ran out of loan sharks he knew to borrow money from, almost everyone was already hella angry at him for taking so long with his payments. Some would even rather have him dead than have the money. Wow, yeah, Ettore really needed to set himself straight. In his most desperate attempt to get himself out of debt yet he decided to try getting one last loan from dun dun dunnnn the mafia! Though somehow, instead of signing a loan agreement he ended up signing an application form to join the mafia. More or less...mafia members probably earn a lot of money right? This was it. He could feel that this was his opportunity to finally get himself out of debt.

Ettore had a sweet family, nice childhood, and a good job! He slowly got himself into debt because he didn't know how to manage his money and eventually got himself fired. He became desperate after falling into debt and losing his job and his solution? Digging himself deeper and deeper into debt to get out. He was luckily able to hide from and run from most of the people he borrowed money from (who weren't too happy with how overdue his payments were). He got even more desperate though since nobody was willing to lend him money anymore and decided to get a loan from the mafia as a last resort. But instead of signing a loan agreement he ended up filling an application form since, working in the mafia would earn him a lot of money; money to pay his old debts with. It was also probably a lot smarter than borrowing money from the mafia and trying to run.
